and the surrounding areas are an untapped haven for road and mountain biking. We have miles of hand carved single
track in the Greenhorn Park area which is used annually for "The Humbug Hurry-Up" mountain bike race. Siskiyou
county is one of the largest counties in the state with a very low population density. Shasta and Scott Valleys are
flat agricultural areas and are surrounded by towering mountains. This combination makes for some of the best road riding
in the state if not in the whole country. Miles of well paved roads, long
flat sections, challenging climbs and very little traffic. Please come for
the race, but stay for a few days and enjoy the area!
